Sick Girl :( + Supanova!

Sorry for not posting been really sick :(

Before I came down with my 3rd cold (which left me in bed for 2weeks) I went to Supanova!!!

Its my first convention for the year, sadly dont get to go to all of them....

This year Hugh (my bf :3) came with me (his second covention)

Melty Stars Tights!!

My melty stars tights came today!!

Sooo Happy!!

I ordered them in March from ODIP, they are really soft and beautiful

I can not wait to wear them this winter, add colour to all the black I wear when I am not wearing lolita

The tights also come in black, which I lot of my friends ordered. I am wondering if I will buy a pair in black after seeing their photos!!

New Hair!!

I have been wanting to change my hair for sometime now and last Friday I did!

I wanted to colour 1/4 of my hair caramel but after i very long talk with my hairdresser that didn't happen and I went with purple, as my hairdresser put it 'works better with my skin'

soooo....What you think??

I really like it!

Really looking for to Supanova in June, it will be my first convention this year!!

Going to be wearing my BTSSB dress as 'One Day in Paradise' are taking photos and sending to BTSSB so they might come to Australia and host a tea party!! XD

Oh and in other news, we have a new dog! My family now as 4 dogs!!

So a couple of weeks ago I brought secondhand a Angelic Pretty dress

I love it soo much!! <3

I have not tried it on yet, so I don't know how the colour will look as I have never brought a yellow dress before....

It came with matching socks (off brand socks), first time I have had matching socks! *giggle*

Picnic at the Gardens

Sorry for not posting at all last week :S

On Sunday I went to a meet up, we all met at the Royal Botanic Gardens for a picnic :)

Was so nice to see everyone and be able to catch up as at my high tea I couldnt

Lolita High Tea

This was the second year I have put on a 'Lolita High Tea' for all the Sydney lolitas

Last year only 9 lovely girls could come, but this year 33 girls and one man

So all together there was 35 of us, we all some fitted inside my house!

First course was 'Broccoil and Cheese soup'

Second course was 'Mini Quiches, Sandwiches and Mini Sausage Rolls'

Third course was of cause sweets and I made soo many things!

I had a wonderful time and I hope everyone that came did as well :)
I am looking forward to doing it all over next year and yes I have started planning!!
To everyone that came and to my family and family friends that helped, Thank you :)

To Replica Or Not???

So you are in love with a lolita brand dress/skirt would do anything for it and then....you see the price Ahh!!
Yes just like everyday brands, lolita brands are expensive, even secondhand (I have heard that a BTSSB dress secondhand went for $600)
Sometimes you may find brand dresses/skirts for sale secondhand for ok/good prices from EGL or Mbok or even lolita friends that are cleaning out their wardrobe best to always have an eye out even if you are not looking

But there is hope!! If you really want that brand dress/skirt but really can not afford the price tag that comes with it you can buy this thing we like to call a Replica!
There are 'off brands' that make replica dresses/skirts of brand, there are little differences but not much. the prints are usually spot on. Down side to replicas is the fabric is not as good as the brand, but none the less if you want that dress/skirt now go replica

Now I understand if you are reading this and are someone that is against replicas...I love my brands too and try my best to save up to buy brand dresses but sometimes the dress I want I just can not afford sadly...and lets not even start about the cost of jewellery (doesn’t mean I don’t have brand jewellery!)

Now back to replicas, for my replicas I go to DOL (Dream of Lolita) I have the a replica of Angelic Pretty Melty Chocolate JSK, the print is right and so is the bow but down side is like I said before is the fabric

The next print I am thinking about saving up for to buy in a replica is Angelic Pretty's Milky Planet JSK. I love this dress so much in the purple but at the moment can not afford to buy the non-replica

Lolita Meet Up!!

On Sunday afternoon a couple of Sydney lolitas and I all met in the city for a get together, been so long since I have worn lolita...

We grabbed some quick food before heading to Madame Tussauds which has only just opened here in Sydney :)

We went a little crazy (in a good way lol) inside as you were able to touch the wax figures and take photos etc

I wore my fave Angelic Pretty dress, Magic Whip with my new headbow XD

I love my AP teacup bag, soo pretty but you can not fit much in it :S down side to some AP bags...very glad AP dresses have pockets!!

Black Milk Meet up!!

Last Friday night I went to my first Black Milk Clothing meet up :)

There were about 30 of us all together, it was really nice meeting everyone for the first time

I have only just found BlackMilk so I dont have many of the brands tights but I plan on buying more "slowly" (which is hard to do when many of the things I love are limited....)

I wore my 'Cross of St Peter' tights to the meet



We went to a Japanese resturant in the city called 'Mizuya'

(Didnt get many photos and most of the photos I did get are really bad....)
